PREMIUM BASE

While a small basic display base is included for free with Issues 70-73 of our Fanhome 1:3 scale Iron Man Mark III Armor partwork model, there is an upgraded Premium Base included for free with all US subscriptions. In other countries, this base may cost extra.

This large (and I mean 20″ across large) display base is composed of many sections supplied over 18 monthly stages and includes LED lighting to illuminate your Iron Man from below. As it is takes over a year to assemble, I decided to create this dedicated section to document the process. Each stage/image below contains links to those instructions:

Thoughts

As nice as this Premium Base is, it is also huge! It measures over 20″ across and will not fit on most of my display shelving. Therefore, I am going to use the smaller Work Base for my Iron Man and repurpose this larger base to be a ‘landing pad’ under my LEGO UCS Star Wars Razor Crest set. For those with the space however, it does really look nice under the Iron Man model.
