“Abdomen B will allow you to display the Mark III armour in a twisted position. There are two connectors for this abdomen: one for the chest and one for the hips.”

The steps in this issue will be very similar to the process we followed in Issue 92.

Abdomen – Position B (2)

Stage 1 – Assembly of the Left Side Plate for Abdomen B
Step 1

Fit the Left Side Plate B to the Front Abdominal Armor B aligning this tab as shown.

To tell the difference, the Left Side Plate B has three tabs close together on the back – the Right Side Plate B only has tabs spaced apart:

Secure these parts these together from the other side with one (1) LP screw:

Step 2

Fit the two posts of the Internal Connection Support over the matching posts on the rear of the Front Abdominal Armor B, as shown:

Secure this Support into place with two (2) IP screws:

Stage 2 – Assembly of the Internal Structure for Abdomen B
Step 1

Retrieve your Internal Abdominal Structure B assembly from the previous issue. Fit this Structure into the matching slots of the Front Abdominal Armor B, as shown:

Ensure the screw holes at this location are aligned to each other:

Step 2

Secure these assemblies together from the other side with one (1) LP screw, as shown:

Stage 3 – Assembly of the Right Side Plate for Abdomen B
Step 1

Fit the Right Side Plate B to the right edge of this assembly.

Make sure this tab (circled below) is aligned correctly, as shown:

Secure the Right Side Plate B into place from the other side with one (1) LP screw:

Stage 4 – Assembly of the Abdomen B/Chest Connector
Step 1

Fit this Abdomen B/Chest Connector into the matching slot of the Front Abdominal Armor B, as shown:

Secure this Connector into place with two (2) UP screws.

The pictures in the magazine only show one screw being installed here, but the written instructions are correct in saying to use two:

Thoughts


This completes the core assembly of Abdomen B, which will allow us to pose our Iron Man armor in a twisted position. We will add a bit more to this assembly in the next issue, so keep it nearby.
