Chest (5)
Stage 1 – Assembly of the Left Shoulder Plates
Step 1
Fit the cylindrical tab of the Rear Left Shoulder Plate between the matching tabs of the Left Shoulder Plate, as shown:
Secure these parts together from this side with one (1) RP screw.
The tighter you make this screw, the harder it will be to rotate the Left Shoulder Plate. Adjust it as necessary:
Step 2
Press the pin of the Finishing Detail into the matching hole at this location on the Rear Left Shoulder Plate, noting the shape of the recess.
This will only fit flush when correctly installed, as shown:
Stage 2 – Assembly of the Left Shoulder Armor
Step 1
Retrieve your Chest assembly from the previous issue. Slide the long tab of the Left Shoulder Plate down through this left-side slot of the Chest Structure, as shown:
As in the previous issue, align the hole in the long tab of the Left Shoulder Plate to this post on the interior of the Chest Structure and secure the Plate to the Structure with one (1) EM screw.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
You should now be able to gently raise and lower the Rear Left Shoulder Plate:
Thoughts
This stage was basically a mirror of the last one. As with the right side, this Rear Left Shoulder Plate ‘aileron’ feels quite delicate, so I recommend taking care when moving it into position.
