Return to the BUILD
“In this issue, we complete the assembly of the main part of the lower right leg with the elements that protect the knee.”
This issue will be very similar to the work we we did on the Left Leg back in Issue 44.
Materials: All of the parts in this issue are plastic.
- The History of Iron Man – Disassembled: System Reboot
- Step by Step – Model Instructions
- In the Comics – Rich Boy: Tony Stark’s Fortune
- The Armor – Motorcycle Armor: Iron vs. Adamantium
The Right Leg (7)
Peel the backing paper from an Adhesive Tab and stick it onto this location inside the Upper Shin Plate:
Then, remove the second backing paper to expose the other adhesive surface, as shown:
Retrieve your Right Leg assembly from Issue 62. Gently spread the side of the Upper Shin Plate and ‘snap’ it over the back of the calf section, as shown:
Secure this Upper Shin Plate into place with two (2) EM screws, one on each side.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
Press the pins of the Right Side Plate (marked ‘R1’) into the right side of the Upper Shin Plate, covering the screw as shown:
In the same way, press the pins of the Left Side Plate (marked ‘R2’) into the left side of the Upper Shin Plate, as shown:
Building two legs just means everything we are doing we have done before. Keep the unused Hip Joint Cover safe as it will be needed in a later issue.
