Early Subscriber Gift

The subscription-based version of our Fanhome 1:3 scale Iron Man Mark III Armor partwork build-up includes five FREE gifts along the way. However, if you were one of the first subscribers to sign up, you will receive an extra gift along with Issues 59-62: this fantastic 1:2 scale Iron Man Helmet Portable Bluetooth Speaker!

Sitting at about 5″ tall and colored in the iconic hot rod red and gold, this rechargeable iHome speaker also includes a short charging cable (USB A to USB Micro). It can be connected to any 5V USB power source that can supply at least 500mA. It is highly recommended to charge it for at least 8 hours before the first use. If the power switch on the bottom of the speaker is in the OFF position, the red LED above the USB port will go out once fully charged. However, if the speaker is turned ON and powered, the red LED will stay on all the time.

Connecting this speaker to a Bluetooth-enabled (1.1, 1.2, 2.0, or 2.1+EDTR with A2DP AVRCP supported) media player such as your mobile phone is quick and easy. The first time this speaker is turned ON, it will automatically enter ‘pairing mode’ and the LED near the USB port will flash red and blue. Then, simply connect your player to the device named iHome B72 IM. The speaker will remember this device and always try to pair with it from then on. Once paired, the LED will light solid blue. If you need to pair it to a new device, hold down the button on top of the head for three (3) seconds to enter ‘pairing mode’ manually.  This button can also be used to pause/play your media player.

NOTE: Volume and Previous/Next Track features must be controlled from the media player. However, the button on top of the head can be quickly pressed to Pause and Resume playback. If for any reason, the speaker becomes unresponsive, press the top button for nine (9) seconds to hard reset it. The Bluetooth pairing process will need to be repeated.

I was quite shocked at how good this speaker looks and sounds! When turned ON, the eyes of the helmet light up a cool white and the audio is played through an Avengers logo-shaped speaker grille at the back of the head. The sound output is quite clear and even has decent low frequency (bass) response. This has to be one of the best gifts I have ever received with a partwork model subscription!

One last thing – I thought it would be interesting to see how this 1:2 scale speaker compares to the ‘1:3 scale’ head of our actual partwork model. Just imagine how big our Iron Man Armor build would be at half scale!

Product Support: While this speaker is distributed by Fanhome/DeAgostini specifically for our Iron Man build, is actually manufactured by eKids LLC (model number Vi-B72IM.UEXV1). Therefore, if you need any additional support, you can reach out to them at https://ekids.com.
